Overview

Objects of Phi Kappa Sigma

The objects of this Fraternity shall be the promotion of good fellowship and the cultivation of social virtues among its members; the protection of the just rights and the advancement of the best interests, present and future, individual and collective, of all those who shall be associated together as members of this Fraternity; the encouragement of good scholarship and breadth of training for its members; and cooperation in the educational and cultural programs of institutions of higher educationin which chapters are located.

Community Service

Community service activities in which Phi Kappa Sigma participates in include Habitat for Humanity, Adopt a Stream, Race for the Cure and the Boy Scouts of America. In addition, each year we donate money we earn to the Leukemia Society of America. We also make every effort to support the projects sponsored by other Greek organizations at UNCC.

Scholarship

The brothers of Phi Kappa Sigma strive for scholastic excellence. We believe that school should be your #1 priority. After all, what good is it if your members are dropping out of school? Every semester, Phi Kap elects an Scholarship Chair whose responsibility it is to assist the scholastic achievement of the brothers. The Scholarship Chair administers study halls, and other activities that will help each member to maximize his scholastic achievement. Members take advantage of our extensive test file to better prepare them for a specific instructor's exams. Members who have attained junior or senior status are eligible to receive a scholarship from the Phi Kappa Sigma Educational Foundation. Every year about 30 Phi Kaps across the nation received a $2500 scholarship! The chapter also offers a scholarship award to the brother with the highest GPA to help with cost of brotherhood dues.
